This project was a Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract that included six facilities in the Sycamore Community School District, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. With a total cost of $4,080,200 and a 14 year term, the project is guaranteed to save 3,092,881 kWh, 13,966 KW, and 23,345 ccf of natural gas.
The scope included:
Replacement of 16-year-old equipment, including 60-ton chillers replaced with new 70-ton chillers and hot water boilers replaced with new condensing boilers and primary pumps, for Blue Ash Elementary School, as well as replacing the chillers at Montgomery Elementary School
2 new boilers, a replacement 500-ton water-cooled chiller, and replacement primary chilled water and condenser water pumps were installed in Sycamore Community High School
Demand limiting and controls optimization for 9 facilities, reworking the existing piping onsite and installing ice production pumps and control valves, as well as putting a 3-tier demand reduction sequence in place
Replacement of 1000-gallon, 180 kW electric domestic water heater, as well as an installation of 2 new 120-gallon, 18 kW electric heaters, at the Gregory Center
