It's the moment LRAA and CMTA have been anticipating: the groundbreaking ceremony for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport's (SDF) 648-well geothermal system terminal project!
With the project recently supported by a $10.6 million Airport Improvement Grant from the FAA, SDF will heat and cool the 400,000 SF terminal building with the new geothermal system to improve the airport's energy efficiency. The system will significantly reduce pollutants, such as ozone, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter associated with natural gas burning.
