This project is a Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract for Boyd County Schools in Ashland, Kentucky involving 692,000 square feet.The scope for this project includes:
- A complete holistic HVAC renovation for Catlettsburg Elementary School, so that each space will have its own independent heating and cooling and the facility will have fresh outside air ventilation, with the installation of a state-of-the-art building automation system that provides web-based monitoring of the new HVAC system
- Catlettsburg Elementary School will also receive brand-new windows and an acoustical grid ceiling system to greatly enhance and modernize the learning environment
- Solar photovoltaic arrays totaling 418 kW for 6 facilities, including a web-based monitoring system
- Every facility in the district will undergo interior and exterior LED lighting replacements, including nearly 6,000 fixtures in total, providing uniform lighting levels that meet the current Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) recommended lighting levels per space type
